I’m going to give it 5 stars because of what it does not for what I imagined it would do.
Expectation was that this gem would have an on button, heat up and I’d have warm butter like when you have a dab sliding down a stack of pancakes. WRONG!
I got a piece of white bread, a plate of refrigerated butter, a butter knife and this bad boy.
I buttered half with a regular butter knife and half with THAT!. What I found was that this does take the butter and slide it on the bread as intended. 1) you can cut the butter off thinner 2) easier to spread because butter is thin.
The butter knife did...well you know, that’s why you are looking for an alternative.
I don’t think they have cracked the code for the price but I won’t return mine.
